Did you know that Paper Dolls are popular again?
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved creating and playing with paper dolls. My favorites were the 1940s–50's celebrities, which are now collector items. It was a thrill to go with my mother to the 5 & 10 store and pay, on average, 25 cents for one paper doll set. Today, that same set probably sells for $100.00 or higher, depending on who and how many paper dolls were created.
My favorites were and still are Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, June Allyson, Doris Day, Susan Hayward, Rita Hayworth, Judy Garland, and so many more.
I love to draw, especially paper dolls. I have sold many sets on Ebay, and continue to create new ones, ranging from celebrities to unknowns, colored sets to black & white sets, especially for the collectors. And, one of my very favorites is Katy Keene......just the most beautifully drawn paper doll comic ever! Bill Woggon was just the best artist out there when it came to fashion drawing.
