Besides poetry and art, the creative person has an eye for taking pictures with a camera. Not just technically, but an eye for the beauty around them.
With today's digital cameras, excellent photos are easier to create. But, why snap ordinary scenes or portraits, when unusual and eye-catching keepers are just a click away. Use your inner-knowing and sometimes these feelings create chilling photographs. Photos that creep across the paper, grips the mind and plays tricks with the imagination.
Photography doesn't have to be birds or flowers swaying in the wind. It does not have to resemble a prayer, or always raise the sun. In fact, a change in pace or a new subject matter is refreshing—a get-away from the same stale photos you see in many magazines.
Take a chance. Dare to be different—inspire the readers with great visuals. Isn't that what you expect when you pick up your camera—to be chilled and thrilled—even a little bit awed by the photo and your audacity to take such a picture in the first place. Photos from the heart will always endure. But photos from the mind—the dark side—is exciting; and yes, sometimes confusing. But give me a photo with a punch, anytime, and I'll give you a winner.
